It depends on what you want to study Josie. If you are asking about English language alternatives to IELTS by using your NECO English, this will depend on the programme you are applying for and the study level. Contact them here and they will get back to you: https://www.open.ac.uk/contact

Most universities won’t accept OND for master’s admission. However, we have a list of universities that accept OND for Top-up degree admission.
Reach out to them to determine whether they can accept your OND for masters admission. They may ask you to do a pre-masters.

Administrator7 December 2022 at 1:24 am in reply to: University of Buckingham LLB foundation scholarshipCongrats on your admission. For foundation year studies in the UK, you would not find many scholarships as an international student. Check our scholarships page for further information and search for fund opportunities.
Also, depending on your country, some may provide federal grants/scholarships. Also, visit British Council in your country to enquire about scholarships.

Each university will have its research proposal guidelines and structure (depending on the research area and whether you are applying for a graduate assistantship, etc.).
PhD research proposals are unlike personal statements, which usually have a standard structure.
At a bare minimum, a research proposal should include:
- A short abstract of about 300-500 words that summarises your overall project.
- A clear introduction which states the issue(s) you want to research, including how you will tackle them.
- Aims and objectives and your proposed contributions to knowledge/impact.
- Provide a relevant literature review that helps distinguish your PhD project from existing PhDs and academic literature.
- Include your proposed research methodology.
- A draft outline of your chapters.
- A draft timeline for the work needed to complete your PhD.
Do reach out to the university to find out what they specifically require.

Administrator26 October 2022 at 11:03 am in reply to: How does one get a phd scholarship with a pass in msc degree? Most scholarship providers will ask for a distinction but, in some cases, merit in your master’s.
With a pass, getting a PhD scholarship won’t be easy.
Since you did your masters in the UK, you might have a chance, but that will depend on your undergraduate degree performance (if you attained at least a 2.1) and the strength of your PhD research proposal.
If certain mitigating circumstances affected your performance (e.g. health challenges), you can include this in some scholarship applications along with evidence.

That’s a generic question to answer. Where do you want to study, and what do you want to study? At the bare minimum, you will need to show that you can speak, write and listen in the English language. You can either take the IELTS or if you have a GCSE English, that would be fine for most UK universities. Please read our article on Study in the UK for International Students for more information about UK study.

Congratulations. You will need an ATAS certificate to study this course and it can be obtained from your university. The ATAS certificate will support your visa application.

If you have a credit in English and your HND (usually in the last five years), a few universities might accept you for admission. However, they may require you to do a pre-masters before you are admitted. Also, they may ask you to consider enrolling on a PG Dip programme before registering for a masters degree. Each university will be different, and admission criteria can change yearly. Read our article about how to get into a masters degree with an HND.
