You can use your WAEC as a substitute for IELTS to study in the UK. The universities that accept WAEC can be found on our website.
Also, if you are applying for an undergraduate degree in the UK, the WAEC qualification is generally recognised as equivalent to a GCSE, which is a requirement to get admission to an international foundation course or A-Levels.

Administrator2 April 2022 at 9:32 pm in reply to: Best option for direct Masters degree – Top Up or Masters?Yes, you will be considered for admission at University College Birmingham (UCB) to study for their digital marketing BA top-up degree.
They require “120 ECTS or equivalent (European Credit Transfer)” which is equivalent to two years of full-time study at a recognised university. Since you have an HND from Nigeria, assuming you studied for two years, you would have fulfilled this requirement.
Also, check out our article on using your HND to gain admission in the UK

No, you usually don’t need to apply through UCAS for a top-up degree.
That’s good news that your application has been received. Let us know how it goes 👏

Applying through UCAS is usually required when you are applying for an undergraduate course, and sometimes a top-up degree. But usually, you can apply for a top-up degree directly to the university. UCAS is only advisable if you want to apply to multiple universities (up to 5), using one application. You can read our help article here about UCAS.

Administrator2 April 2022 at 9:53 pm in reply to: Best option for direct Masters degree – Top Up or Masters?Application for masters degree after completing a top-up is optional. You will be awarded a bachelors degree after completing the top-up. You can get a job with a UK bachelors degree.
Also, note that you will be eligible to apply for a Graduate Visa after your top-up degree has been awarded. The graduate visa will allow you to stay in the UK for two years to find a job after you graduate.
However, if you want to continue to study and do a masters degree after your top-up, you will need to apply for it.
